Lewis Hall is apparently back on Chelsea’s radar as a potential signing – although there are reasons it probably won’t happen.

Our writer Simon Phillips has come in hot this week with two pieces of Newcastle – Chelsea exclusive transfer news. His piece is mainly about our interest in a striker, but also has a rumour which Blues fans will be much more excited about.
“I’ve started to hear some whispers about Chelsea looking into possibly bringing Lewis Hall back to the club,” Phillips writes on Substack.
“Chelsea have a sell on clause in Hall’s contract but not buyback. However, it’s just something that Chelsea are exploring at the moment – with the situation of Marc Cucurella being up in the air.”
Phillips pours cold water on Hall rumours immediately
We can’t think of many transfers that would make Chelsea fans happier than getting Lewis Hall back. He’s an academy kid we never should have let leave, and he’s developed into a top player.
But it’s important not to get too excited. Phillips adds a key caveat:
“We’ve heard from other sources though that it is unlikely that Hall would consider returning to Chelsea at this moment, so I don’t expect anything to come of this one.”
