Frank Lampard has been named the Premier League manager of the month for October, and nobody can argue too much with that.
The Chelsea boss oversaw a superb run for his team in the league, winning every game and rocketing up the table to a comfortable fourth, while the competition suffered.
We had an easier run of fixtures, but Lampard took full advantage, and the team improved dramatically in defence and midfield. Fikayo Tomori cemented his place in the side, Christian Pulisic forced his way into the XI, and Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic had their best month at the club yet in the middle of the pitch.

If we can keep up this form through November, we will be sitting pretty come Christmas.
Frank released a typically modest statement thanking the players for their hard work, and Roy Hodgson also spoke glowingly about his opposite number in Crystal Palace’s press conference ahead of the two teams’ game tomorrow at Stamford Bridge.
