Antonio Rudiger wanted a goal. Now he’s gone one.
We saw him surge forward in the Champions League earlier this week to great effect, and he made a similar dash earlier in this game.
Those shots didn’t end up in the net, but this one did. The defender peeled back to the edge of the box and struck a nice finish across the goalkeeper as the defenders looked on.
It was the least Chelsea deserved after a superb performance which concluded with a slew of chances for the Blues.
