Following rumours which really fired up late last night, Enzo Fernandez has got surgery on his groin issue and posted a picture from his hospital bed showing him smiling, post-op.
We can only assume everything went well.
This ends his club season, but means he should be fit to play for Argentina in the Copa America this summer.

As we’ve said before, this is basically going to be a good thing for Enzo and for Chelsea, we hope. His performances were getting worse and worse, and we can only assume this was in great part to the painful hernia which he had been managing for quite some time, according to many sources.
The only issue for us is that we’re so thin in central midfield, with Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu already out. We’re going to see a lot more of the Conor Gallagher – Moises Caicedo double pivot in these final games it seems.
