(Image) – Cole Palmer scoops Premier League award double

Cole Palmer has won the Premier League Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for April after a series of brilliant performances.

The 22-year old became the first Chelsea player since Eden Hazard back in 2018 to win a Player of the Month award, and becomes just one of five players to win both awards in the same month.

Palmer is the first Chelsea player in history to win both awards in the same month, and this is just the latest reward for his fine season.

The England international scored seven goals and provided one assist across four matches in April, including two hat-tricks against Manchester United and Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s opening goal against the Toffees, a lovely strike into the bottom corner after a one-two with Nicolas Jackson was named Goal of the Month.

It’s been quite a week for Palmer who was also named Chelsea Player and Players’ Player of the Year at the club’s end of season awards earlier this week.
