There’s a real buzz around Chelsea the moment, and after a tough season we don’t want to get negative again at the first opportunity.
But after scoring first this team have just conceded one of the more frustrating, soft goals we’ve seen. Our set piece defending has been dire all season, but it might just have hit a new low.
Forest had a fairly central free kick which Morgan Gibbs white just chipped up to the far post. It should have been dealt with easily, but the entire marking system broke down. It was Willy Boly who headed the ball in, but any number of red shirts were free if he’d missed it.
Djordje Petrovic in goal was also beaten too easily – although the ball may have nicked off Conor Gallagher on the way through.
And don’t get us started on the naive way the free kick was given away by Benoit Badiashile to set up the chance in the first place…
