Chelsea fans have voted for the club’s goal of the season, with the winner a clear and obvious choice for most supporters.

The Blues scored 77 goals in the Premier League last campaign and many more in the cup competitions, with a number of standout of goals, including Noni Madueke’s strike in the FA Cup against Leicester and Enzo Ferandez’s free kick in the same competition against Aston Villa.

However, one goal stood out and that was Moises Caicdeo’s phenomenal strike from the half way line, his first goal for the club, on the final day of the season against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old picked the ball up just inside his own half following a rushed clearance from the Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto, took a touch and sent an inch perfect shot into the back of the net to send his team-mates and the Stamford Bridge crowd wild.

The Ecudaor international’s strike was a clear winner, receiving 64.7% of the votes with Fernandez’s free kick coming second, and Cole Palmer’s opening goal in the 6-0 win against Everton rounding out the top three.

Caicedo joins the likes of Eden Hazard, Ashley Cole and Willian as winners of the award.
