The season may have just started again but Cole Palmer has picked up where he left off after his record breaking 2023/2024 campaign.
Whilst the Blues have had a mixed start to the season with four points from their opening three games Palmer seems to have picked up exactly where he left off.
The 22-year-old has four assists and a goal to his name already in the Premier League and it seems despite all the attacking talent, the Blues are once again going to be looking to the England international to make things happen.
If Palmer is to repeat his feats of last season he will need Chelsea’s supporting cast to step up and help him out, but if his start to the season is anything to go by then you wouldn’t bet against him doing it again.
BBC Sport have highlighted that in 2024 Palmer has contributed to more goals (15 goals and 11 assists) than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues which is quite some achievement.
