“I think would be nice” – Joao Felix names Chelsea legend he’d liked to have played alongside

Joao Felix has revealed which Chelsea legend he would most liked to have played alongside and the answer might be a surprise.

Felix joined the Blues in the summer in a deal worth £44.5m from Atletico Madrid, having spent time on loan at Stamford Bridge during the 2022/2023 season.

The 25-year-old was one of three high profile attacking signings along with Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto as the Blues bolstered their attacking options.

Felix has struggled for regular game time and is yet to start a game in the Premier League, but has featured on a regular basis in the cup competitions.

The Portugal international has scored five goals this season, but just one of those has come in the league, and he will be hoping for more opportunities in the build-up to Christmas.

Felix recently revealed the position on the pitch he feels he performs best in and it will be interesting to see if Maresca takes those comments on board.

The Italian recently admitted he felt shame about not being able to give Felix more minutes and the Portuguese has been an unused substitute in the last four league matches.

Felix was recently asked to pick one former Chelsea player he would have liked to play alongside and picked club legend John Terry.

“John Terry,” he said in a video posted to Chelsea’s official Instagram account.

“I remember him when he played and he’s a legend of the club. I would like to play with him because everything he knows and the experience that he could teach us, I think would be nice.”

Terry certainly epitomises Chelsea and the chance to play with him is something most Chelsea players would love to do.

Given Felix is an attacker it’s perhaps a surprise he didn’t pick any of the amazing attacking players who have played for the club in the past, but you can’t knock his choice.
